MapleStory already announced that it would have some crossover with the single-player RPG Dave the Diver, but all that anyone knew was that… there would be a crossover with Dave the Diver. Well, now we finally know a lot more this week as Nexon has detailed more about this event and other features landing with Stargazer Part 2 on Wednesday, July 16th.

The crossover event reads like it’s trying to recreate the basic Dave the Diver experience: Players will get to set sail and explore the underwater realm of the Blue Hole, seeking out rare fish to bring aboard to use at Bancho Sushi, where minigames to turn out tasty fishy treats await. Money earned from the restaurant can be used to upgrade diving gear and seek out rarer fish, and completing an event codex will unlock several cosmetics themed after the RPG.

Luckily there’s more than a crossover event in the patch, as it will also bring the completion of job mastery nodes to the MMO’s classes, the return of the Ride or Die event, the continuation of the Starlit Adventure, and of course the continuation of boosting events that kicked off last month.
