Not even 500 people completed all of the season journey tasks on New World’s last season serve

Whether you loved or hated New World’s seasonal servers, they’re still going away, or so Amazon intimated last week. However, they’re still offering up some lessons about how people play the MMO: Amazon has now released an infographic for the hardcore servers, calling out the players who set records for their efforts.

For example, Amazon says that the fastest any player got to the season server’s level cap was 35 minutes with deaths and 42 minutes with no deaths. That’s… actually kind of insane, even for a version of the game retooled to include a much shorter leveling track. Neither of those players was first to the cap, however, suggesting they honed their speedruns after the initial launch.

On the flipside, the first person to make it all the way through the Gorgon raid took 181 minutes total to do it. And the first person to do all of the season content challenges took over 17 hours – also not the first person to complete these things. First and fastest are not the same!

Finally, Amazon’s last few figures make clear why season servers are done with: Most people who played spent only eight hours doing so, and only 434 people finished all 12 seasonal journey challenges. A bummer, since even MOP’s Tyler actually liked the server – just not for what it was supposed to be.
