BitCraft is creeping up on the one-month mark since it originally launched into early access this summer. So how is the MMORPG sandbox doing? Not too shabbily for a lil indie, as it happens; Clockwork Labs saw a peak of 4382 concurrent players last month and is holding steady around 2700 players on average right now. And this week, we’re getting a new roadmap that ought to tide players over for the rest of the year.
Most notably, we’re now expecting the player housing update next week on July 24th; over the rest of 2025, we can look forward to “deeper combat and PvE dungeons,” the opt-in PvP empire battles system, the planned skill expansion, and improvements to gathering and crafting. The devs are also committing to the same July cadence for the rest of the year, specifically small weekly updates and one major monthly update.
In the comments of the roadmap, the devs remind players that they’re not actively planning a wipe soon, but it’s a possibility; moreover, tool scrapping is expected in tomorrow’s update.
