The common wisdom is that you shouldn’t make MMORPGs your second job. Don’t tell that to EVE Online, however, because “second job” is practically its working title, especially with the recent freelance tasks added with this summer’s Legion expansion.

Readers will recall that CCP has been working on these types of missions really since the introduction of corporation projects; the freelance jobs system introduced with Legion is an extension of that system that allows player leaders to open up work orders, job, and missions to people outside the corporation, either for pure commercial reasons or as recruiting tools.

“The latest update to the Legion expansion brings the much-anticipated addition of the ‘Deliver’ job type to Freelance Jobs –- a logistics addition that will take your creativity to the next level, allowing you to set up buyback programs, regular fuel delivery tasks, and so much more,” CCP posted.

EVE Online is also running its Solar Fest event from July 15th through the 22nd with “a never-before-seen color-shifting gloss nanocoating.” Economy-minded players will want to check out the June financial report as well.
