The Daily Grind: Which MMORPG offers the most satisfying way to play an evil character?

In a lot of MMORPGs, the default assumption when you have multiple opposed factions is that every faction is supposed to be justified based on its own moral framework and no one is the undisputed good guy or bad guy. And then you have games where one faction is just unapologetically evil. The first City of Heroes expansion was not titled City of People Who, If You See The World Through Their Eyes, Are Actually Totally Justified. You know who the bad guys are because they have a whole song-and-dance routine about being bad guys.

Even aside from that, though, there are many MMORPGs wherein your faction as a whole may be morally ambiguous but you, personally, are evil as heck. And while I don’t think it’s necessarily a good sign if all of your characters are atavistic monsters, every so often it’s fun to play a real bastard. So which MMORPG has made it the most satisfying to play an evil character? (Note that this is distinct from just doing evil stuff. “I liked ruining the lives of new players on an open PvP server” is potentially an evil character, but it is also just being a jerk and is probably not something you want to advertise.)

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
