Hey, lookit that, Albion Online is eight years old this week, and it clearly has a very specific type of party it likes to throw to mark the annual milestone, as the Living Legacy event is back again to celebrate through the vehicle of smashing giant angry statues. It’s kind of like breaking open a piñata if you squint hard enough.

For those who missed out on last year’s affair, the Living Legacy event will see three tiers of aggressive statues (Construct, Colossus, and Titan) rumble around the game world. Player groups who take down these foes will get a chance at a wide assortment of celebratory loot, including an eighth anniversary horse skin, a slice of digital cake that grants a non-PvP fame boost, and a fireworks-firing weapon to celebrate the MMORPG’s birthday with explosions.

In addition, players who log in at some point during the festivities will be handed a avatar and avatar ring to mark the anniversary. All of the statue smashing and cake gobbling good times will run until July 28th for Asia servers and July 29th for NA, SA, and EU servers, so get to partying with extreme prejudice against statues.
