NCsoft stunned players when it first announced Blade and Soul Heroes during Summer Game Fest in June, and when the studio called it a “collectible action MMORPG,” we assumed that meant gacha. But unlike a lot of gacha titles, this one is actually an MMO, and it’s been out in Korea since last year under the name Hoyeon. At SGF, the company set a planned September global launch window, and now that’s firmed up to a hard date.
“Blade & Soul Heroes’ global launch hits PC and mobile devices — Steam, Steam Deck, PURPLE (NC’s proprietary platform), iOS, and Android — on Tuesday, September 2,” NCsoft says.
If you’re in Korea or Germany, you can even play it ahead of time.
“KCON attendees can experience the newest build of Blade & Soul Heroes at the “NC” booth #S-03 from Friday through Sunday, August 1-3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. KCON is considered the world’s largest fan celebration of Korean culture and music with worldwide events and a cumulative 1.48 million fans. International gaming media can play Blade & Soul Heroes and experience the rest of NCSOFT’s 2025-2026 lineup at NCSOFT’s booth at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Wednesday through Friday, August 20-23 at Booth #D011, Hall 4.2 in the B2B area.”
You can preregister for the game itself, which comes along with freebies, as well as head to the Apple Appstore and Steam for wishlisting.
