While neither July 9th nor July 15th turned into the Grand New Server Opening Day that Dungeons and Dragons Online fans have been expecting, it’s looking a lot more promising that SSG will be opening up the trio of new 64-bit realms today with the ensuing transfer rush.
Play DDO for freeThe studio announced that it’s implementing a hotfix today, after which the realms and transfers will go live at 2:00 p.m. EDT this afternoon. Players will be treated to 10 additional character slots on all 64-bit worlds and can send their characters to Shadowdale (US), Thrane (US), Cormyr (the US realm that launched last fall), or Moonsea (EU).
Standing Stone Games notified players that they cannot have a Reincarnation Cache on their characters and transfer; the player must take the items out of the cache and then pack up for the move. To help work around this issue, the studio is granting two extra character slots on all of the older 32-bit game worlds.
