Once Human adds account modes feature, more custom server content, and quality-of-life updates

This week has brought on a new patch for Once Human, and while it doesn’t really have any sort of central major feature, it is piling on a bunch of things across the survival sandbox, including a sort of account-level mitosis in preparation for the RaidZone PvP server’s full release.

As of this latest update, players can now effectively switch modes between the vanilla game and RaidZone with the push of a button. Both flavors can be played with the same account, but access to certain features like Eternaland and the void backpack are locked when in RaidZone mode, and the number of characters per account stays the same. Otherwise most other things such as cosmetics and battle pass progress are shared between both modes.

For those who prefer to play on custom servers, this patch also adds some things for you like Endless Dream content, badge cross-compatibility, and the ability to pay for a maximum server population of 100 players. NetEase’s Starry Studio will also be adding more servers and upgrade packages for those who are looking to buy in to the feature.

Other pieces of this latest patch include multiple tweaks to the test version of RaidZone including weapon adjustments, creature changes, and new limitations on player territory visibility; a shortening of Way of Winter’s phases; several combat adjustments; and a host of quality-of-life updates like a new light feature for photo mode, the ability to repair vehicles at repair stops around the map, a few construction updates, and the ability for a friend to ride with players on a motorcycle. Starry has also added two new ways for players to join permanent servers if they so choose.
