There are certainly a lot of gears that lock together to make EVE Online tick, but a couple of those in-game activity connections are getting a little bit deeper thanks to the sandbox’s latest patch, which makes some updates to the exploration side of things that should hopefully help industrialists in the game.Play EVE Online for free
Specifically speaking, ghost sites have seen several changes intended to make them less challenging such as a longer time before NPC guards arrive, significant decreases in NPC arrival time variance, and a guaranteed 30-second timer between guards arriving and containers detonating. Players can also expect some more frequent capital control item drops in exploration zones.
As CCP Games explains both in the patch notes and in a related dev chat, all of this is meant to help feed capital and supercapital industry. In summary, the studio is attempting to widen bottlenecks and make these industrial pursuits more open to players. Additionally, the SCC charge for blueprint research jobs is being eased, again with the aim of encouraging industry by making it easier for new industry runners to catch up with established players.
Other portions of the patch include some updates to freelance jobs, a small lineup of bug fixes, volume reductions for certain items, and loot table changes for the Overmind nursery nest wreck found in Pochven.
